Job Description: The Logistics Coordinator in the steel industry is responsible for managing and optimizing the movement, storage, and distribution of steel products and raw materials. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, transport companies, warehouse teams, and customers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. The position demands a deep understanding of logistics operations, knowledge of steel industry standards, and the ability to manage complex supply chains and heavy goods. The coordinator must possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing demands, such as production delays or transportation disruptions. Close attention to detail is essential, as steel shipments often involve strict regulatory requirements, specific handling procedures, and precise delivery timelines. The coordinator also plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring seamless integration between logistics and other departments like procurement and production planning.
