Position Purpose As the OpenSky Head of Fraud & Collections, you will drive a strategic agenda to deliver step-change improvements in fraud and collections performance. We are looking for an experienced leader in financial services with exceptional results-focus, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. This leader should have the ability to identify key points of leverage, establish an agenda, and drive results through work with cross-functional partners. This is a hands-on leadership role with the opportunity to lead an expanded team over time. Prior fraud experience is required to be successful in this role, and prior collections experience is preferred. Position Responsibilities
- Develop a holistic collections and fraud roadmap based on an assessment of key opportunity areas
- Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership, influencing fraud and collections agenda
- Work with cross-functional partners to design and implement new fraud and collections strategies and capabilities
- Develop and maintain fraud and collections policies for OpenSky
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on industry best practices
- Manage overall project deliverables and timelines, ensuring results are delivered on time and with quality
- Oversee fraud and collections performance, and implement strategies to optimize and improve performance over time
- Evaluate key points of leverage, such as incorporating new fraud data sources
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a Quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business)
- 5-10+ years of experience in advanced analytics, including developing fraud and/or collections strategies in unsecured lending
- 2-5+ years of experience in credit card fraud strategy
- 2-5+ years of experience leading analytical teams
- People leadership experience: Prior experience effectively managing, scaling, motivating, and developing a high-performing team
Technical Knowledge and Skills
- A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics
- Have an ownership mindset and exceptional project management skills
- Highly proficient with analytical tools such as Python and SQL
- Relentless persistence in solving problems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills: ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex analytical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
Working Arrangements
- This is a hybrid role expected to work in office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. You will be able to work remotely on Wednesday.
Compensation
- Base Salary Range: $170,000 - $220,000 annually. Final determination of where you are at in the salary range is based on numerous factors such as relevant experience, skill set, education, and ability to meet qualifications within the job description.
- Additional Compensation: This role will include a yearly annual target bonus based on individual performance.
