TITLE: Business Analyst

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Works in accounting, production control shipping area.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • At least 2-year degree
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Accounting/analysis experience
  • Detail Oriented
  • Previous data entry experience
  • Personal computer experience
  • Mainframe computer experience
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

C Level



  • Promotes, complies, actively participates to help maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Prepares and maintains records of materials used, throughput and yields.
  • Controls WIP inventory and does monthly material physical inventory.
  • Reviews computerized inventory of raw materials against present and anticipated manufacturing work orders.
  • Corrects Bom in all computer systems.
  • Set-ups new materials on plant side
  • Analysis WIP usage.
  • Collaborate with administrator, scheduling and manufacturing personnel to keep computer system updated.
  • Enters sample production orders and analyses material usage.
  • Back-up for Production entry
  • Help with doing physically and computer cycle counts for physical inventories.
  • Do reports on a timely basis with accurate results.
  • Do monthly production close.
  • Check receiving and resolve all problems.



B Level



  • Do all Level C
  • Reviews production orders at end of production run to confirm all elements are accounted for.
  • Creates chips, corrugated resins and additives item numbers and information.
  • Monitors and communicates discrepancy report activity on a weekly basis.
  • Create and maintain production spreadsheets.
  • Use the current computer system for plants and companies.
  • Assist all departments on troubleshooting and resolving problems
  • Resolve inventory balances and correct variances
  • Helping to have correct cases for plant products
  • Work with the two computer systems and solve differences
  • Back up Accounts Payable


A Level



  • Do all Level B
  • Controls annual WIP inventory and helps inventory analyst with all other inventories.
  • Oversee the production clerk entering production data.
  • Create and maintain production spreadsheets.
  • Create reports as needed for management.
  • Create and update programs in IBS
  • Keep both IBS and As400 reconciled
  • Evaluate/analyze cost differences
  • Assist with annual physical inventories
  • Learn and back-up as need expeditors
  • Performs other functions/analysis as needed



Senior Level



  • Do all level A
  • Four-year degree in accounting



MACHINERY & ELECTRICAL DEVICES USED



  • Personal computer-used daily at mid-level experience
  • Fax machine
  • Copiers
  • Various Software Programs
  • Mainframe Terminal & Keyboard
  • Calculator-daily basic knowledge



WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:



  • Inside environmental conditions, protected from weather conditions not necessarily temperature conditions.
  • Outside environmental conditions, no effective protection from weather.
  • Inside and outside environments apply.
  • Subject to extreme cold, temperature below 32 degrees for period of more than one hour
  • Subject to noise causing reason to shout to be heard above noise level.
  • Subject to hazards such as moving machinery, electrical currents, falling debris, exposure to chemicals, gases, high heat, or combustible material.
  • Subject to extreme heat, temperatures above one hundred degrees for periods of more than one hour.
  • Subject to unregulated atmospheric conditions caused by odors, fumes, gases, poor ventilation, and dust.
  • Subject to oils and other cutting fluids via touch or air.



PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:



  • Climbing, ascending, or descending stairs and the like using feet & legs or hands & arms
  • Stooping, bending body downward and forward by bending spine & waist. Example: Close examination of material samples displayed at or below waist level.
  • Kneeling, bending legs at knee to come to rest on knee or knees.
  • Crouching, bending the body downward & forward by bending legs and spine.
  • Reaching, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Example: giving signals, reaching for material or handle on item.
  • Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time. Example: monitoring process conditions.
  • Walking, moving out on foot to accomplish tasks.
  • Lifting, raising objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. Degree of lifting: 5-25 lbs.
  • Fingering, picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm as in handling.
  • Grasping, applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm
  • Feeling, perceiving attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature, or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips
  • Talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words, via face to face or telephone.
  • Hearing, perceiving the nature of sounds with not less than a forty db loss @ 500 Hz, 1000 Hz and 2000 Hz with or without correction. Ability to receive verbal communications and make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts.
  • Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
  • Crawling, moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
  • Pulling, using upper extremities to exert force to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
  • Pushing, using the upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward, or outward.



VISUAL



  • Machine operation, inspection, close assembly, clerical and administrative duties. Example: preparing and analyzing data entry, CRT exposure, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, using measurement devices or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • Position requires an individual to differentiate colors, depth, and perception.
