  • Responsible for performing all recruiting functions to ensure that well qualified candidates are available for open positions including:

    • Sourcing - identify the right talent for Veritex by using efficient and effective recruiting methods and sourcing strategies.
    • Marketing - keen understanding of our value proposition and ability to cascade that message to the labor market in an effective way, through social media, campus events, and other networking opportunities.
    • Interviewing - own and execute a detailed and thorough behavioral based interview process, screening not just for experience, but for cultural fit through phone and video interviews.
    • Offer negotiation and closing - works to clearly understand the Bank's and candidate's driving motivators and finds the best possible solution for both parties.
    • Candidate Experience - maintains professional relations with applicants and works to ensure they have the best experience possible through proactive, transparent communication and care.
    • Manager Experience - ensures managers are well informed of recruiting activities and statuses as well as working to provide advice and counsel on all things hiring related.
    • Administrative - manage the applicant and candidate portfolio in Veritex's recruiting database proactively and efficiently. Complete all recruiting activities in compliance with established policies, procedures, and legal regulations.





Job Skills and Qualifications:




  • Minimum seven years of successful experience in managing the full life cycle of recruiting in a corporate or agency environment.
  • External search experience preferred with focus in banking or finance environment.
  • Experience in recruiting for all banking roles, including sales, operations and IT.
  • Successful track record in effectively adapting to changing priorities with flexibility, professionalism, and creativity.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills in all areas across all levels within the bank.
  • Successful track record of strong project management and organizational skills with special attention to building strong networks inside and outside the organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the latest recruiting technologies and trends.
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated outstanding consultative and client management skills with hiring managers, functional leaders, and HR teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a fluid, fast-paced environment.
  • A self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Understands the bank's overall risk appetite and how your specific department and individual job responsibilities align with the effective management of bank risk.
