Supporting an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by providing innovative and effective solutions supporting our Commercial Risk Claims Leadership team on various projects and initiatives to achieve Aon's strategic goals. This is a hybrid opportunity!

What the day will look like

  • Engage with global, regional, and country claims and operations leaders on projects which align with the firm's global claims strategies.
  • Document business processes across the claims value chain to support the identification of lean improvements.
  • Participate in technology discovery workshops to help define requirements to support business processes.
  • Build multifaceted data visualizations including graphics, charts, and tables to be applied in management reporting, presentations, and external client / carrier deliverables.
  • Strong quantitative reasoning skills and experience using data to provide insights to executive leadership and other departments.
  • Understand multiple data sources and structures to maintain strong data infrastructure, bringing relevant data sources into a consolidated environment for more efficient data manipulation and relationship reporting.
  • Frequent engagement with Aon's Center of Innovation & Analytics (ACIA) in Dublin, Krakow, and Singapore.
  • Willingness to take ownership of initiatives and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Actively participates in team meetings and handles action items and responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for staying current on industry trends and standard methodologies and advising the team leadership of relevant information.
  • Able to prioritize, manage workload, and respond accordingly to requests that are urgent in nature.
  • Cooperative and professional with colleagues, clients and business partners, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to deliver results promptly.

How this opportunity is different

As an operations analyst in the global claims team, this individual is responsible for supporting daily activity including, but not limited to: detailing business processes and technology requirements, participating in working groups to discuss and address challenges, industry research and analysis, database management including data cleansing and formatting, report development and distribution, developing business intelligence tools including dashboards and data visualization, and the creation of presentations. This individual needs to be proactive, collaborative, displays a willingness to learn, strong attention to detail, ability to handle tight due dates, the skills for problem solving, and the capacity to handle several projects at once.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • College degree, or equivalent experience preferred - ideally in business, insurance, economics, engineering, statistics, information systems / MIS, computer science or other analytical related fields. Insurance knowledge a plus.
  • Preferred but not required: Visio, Power BI, Alteryx, Databricks, Snowflake, Appian, or Azure DevOps.
  • Comfortable across multiple systems and interfaces.
  • Diligent, excellent problem-solving skills, and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; well organized and the ability to learn and follow directives.
  • Ability to meet target dates.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $65,000 to $85,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
