NV5 has an immediate need for a Project Analyst in Vancouver, WA, or the Wilsonville, OR office.



Responsibilities

    Set up and maintain projects in Deltek VantagePoint, including reviewing new contracts and advising the Project Manager (PM) on the most efficient way to set up projects to meet client billing requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Consult/advise PM on contract options, obtain reviews, get contract issued, advise Business Unit Managers of projects with pending contracts and/or other contract issues.
  • Collaborate with internal auditors to ensure adherence to accounting guidelines.
  • Maintain projects as Change Orders are added. Close each phase when work is completed and billed. Close the entire job period after transactions are completed.
  • Process draft invoices for review and approval by PM in a timely manner. Review and maintain billing terms, ensure client's requirements are met (back-up, status reports, or lien waiver attached).
  • Track Sub Consultants. Provide the Contract Department with sub-proposals to get sub-consultant contracts. Receive sub-invoices and verify the amount billed against the budget. Present invoices to PM for approval. Input into Vantagepoint and send paperwork to the Corporate Accounting office for posting.
  • Analyze the subconsultant budget vs. actual spent on projects. Reconcile contract/approved/pending Change Orders vs. total billed to-date on projects.
  • Coordinate with clients and sub-consultants. Determine appropriate client and sub-consultant contacts, answer questions, obtain information when necessary, communicate information to PM, and act as liaison for billing questions.
  • Provide and prepare detailed analysis of Project Budget, including spent to date, revenue earned to date, billed to date, budget remaining, WIP, and A/R.
  • Perform project analysis, assist in project planning, and financial reporting of projects.
  • Support/assist A/R & A/P personnel. Share information with A/R & A/P, resolve questions, ask for updated A/R information, and inform A/R of any arrangements to existing invoices (voids/reissues).
  • Monitor and report exceptions to firm-wide policies and procedures.
  • WIP corrections/adjustments/management. Ensure correct billing rates due to changes, write-downs, zero bill rate corrections, and labor category corrections. Perform analysis of mark-ups.
  • Participate in/assist with orientation for new PMs.
  • Quarterly backlog reviews, database upkeep
  • Monthly team meetings with Infrastructure West Finance Group, expected to learn quickly from our monthly training and/or policy improvements, and implement new initiatives and communications quickly.
  • Coverage for other team members in INFW Finance Group and special assignments as needed requires flexibility in a team atmosphere.


Qualifications

  • Qualified candidate should have a minimum of three years' experience within an Architecture/Engineering firm or industry
  • Experience with Deltek VantagePoint system is a plus
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Project Accounting, Job Cost Accounting, Project Controls, Project Administration, or similar experience.

The pay range for this position in Washington is $34.00 to $42.00 per hour. The base pay offered may be higher or lower, depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
