General Summary of Position Title: Nuclear Med Technologist I (123105) MedStar Health is looking for a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital! Nuclear Med Technologist I performs a full range of nuclear medicine procedures to include routine, emergency, and off-site portables. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards. Primary Duties: * Performs a full range of nuclear medicine procedures, including venipuncture and radiopharmaceutical injections, under physician supervision. * Maintains radiation safety standards, ensures equipment functionality, and keeps procedure rooms clean and stocked. * Provides procedure information and reassurance to patients, families, and nursing staff. * Assists physicians with specialized procedures and operates nuclear medicine and hospital information systems. * Participates in staff/student training, patient transport, and supports a positive, service-oriented environment. Qualifications: * Must be a graduate of an AMA approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology (Required) * Prior work experience not required (Preferred) * 1-2 years Hospital based experience (Preferred) * Skills in operating nuclear medicine stationary and mobile equipment. Nuclear medicine computers and in instructing others in their proper use. Licenses and Certifications: * AART - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Required) or * Health Services\NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Tech (Required) or * ASCP - American Society of Clinical Pathologists (Required) This position has a hiring range of $34.98 - $62.52 |
