Job Scope

The Salesforce Developer II will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom solutions on the Salesforce platform. This individual will collaborate with business analysts, administrators, and other developers to implement and enhance applications to meet business objectives.

This role requires a solid understanding of Salesforce development tools, technologies, and best practices. Have an in-depth knowledge and experience building solutions with Salesforce and SAAS and Cloud technologies in general.

Key Responsibilities and Duties



  • Develop and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Collaborate with business analysts, administrators, and other developers to define requirements, technical specifications, and business processes.
  • Provide technical impact analysis for proposed solution designs.
  • Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and other internal/external systems using tools such as RESTful APIs, SOAP, and middleware platforms.
  • Manage deployments using Salesforce change sets, CI/CD pipelines, and metadata.
  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality of the applications.
  • Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices and coding standards.
  • Continuously research and stay up to date with new Salesforce features and technologies.
  • Represent IT in high level design/requirement sessions with business users and propose feasible solutions.
  • Document processes, procedures, and system designs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education, Experience, and Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, ECE, or similar field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ Years Experience with Salesforce and SAAS/Cloud applications
  • 4+ Years Total programming experience out of which 3 years should be in SalesForce development, programming with tools and technologies like:

    • Apex Classes
    • Lightning Web Components
    • Apex Triggers
    • Visual Force
    • Process Automation
    • Data Modeling
    • API development
    • Test Classes
    • Schedule/Batch jobs
    • Integrations via API (REST, SOAP w/ JSON, XML)
    • CSSRequired


  • 3+ Years Experience building solutions in SalesForce using declarative development methods
  • 3+ Years Experience using Salesforce change sets, CI/CD pipelines, and metadata
  • 3+ Years Experience managing unit/integration apex test classes and maintaining code coverage to standards
  • 3+ Years Experience working in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment
  • 3+ Years Experience working with the following SalesForce Clouds:Sales Cloud,Service Cloud,Marketing Cloud
  • 2+ Years Experience using version control applications (Subversion, GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.)
  • 2+ Years Experience creating technical design documents and diagrams
  • Experience with Salesforce integration (REST, SOAP, etc.), and integration tools like Informatica, MuleSoft, or similar.
  • Experience customizing 3rd party installed packages in SalesForce
  • Experience performing data updates and migrations into SalesForce with in-app and 3rd party tools (Data Import Wizard, Dataloader, Workbench, etc.)
  • Knowledge of web services and real-time integrations
