Food & Beverage Intern

SUMMARY

The Culinary Operations Intern will assist the Culinary Department by performing a wide range of tasks and functions to ensure best in-class food and service at Gillette Stadium.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Rotate through various departments within Culinary Operations to gain valuable insight into the Catering, Suites, Revolution, Patriots Culinary Department operates.
2. Attend department meetings.
3. Assist Culinary Operations with day-to-day tasks depending which area of focus the intern is in.
4. Assist Culinary Operations with event day preparations including suites, catering and concessions.
5. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position has no supervisory responsibility

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equal technical degree.
• Proficient with Microsoft programs - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Effective communication skills, oral and written
• Able to effectively plan ahead
• Strong team player orientation and customer focus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, bend and be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Must be able to climb a ladder.
• Must have full range of motion and dexterity.
• Must have a flexible schedule including nights, mornings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
• Must be able to handle stressful situations effectively and professionally.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud
• Will work in all types of weather, including extreme heat and cold
• This is a fast-paced environment with many moving parts
