About the Team/Role

We are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Analyst. The candidate who assumes this role will be a member of the WEX Bank Compliance Team, reporting to a Compliance Manager. In this role, the team member will focus on supporting the compliance team with various activities and will primarily focus on assisting with compliance testing efforts.

How you'll make an impact

* Help the team develop and manage the Bank's overall compliance program as part of the second line of defense.

* Assist in creating a schedule for compliance testing activities that looks ahead over the next few quarters, using information about potential risks.

* Support the development of testing plans, which may include using checklists, understanding how controls are tested, mapping out processes, and helping to identify and test important controls. Assist in reviewing how the first line of defense (the business areas) monitors compliance.

* Learn how to assess the level of risk associated with any issues found during testing, following established guidelines.

* Work with the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team to provide updates on compliance testing plans, activities, and results.

* Help report any findings or issues to the team responsible for managing them, including understanding why the issue happened and suggesting ways to fix it.

* Build positive and collaborative relationships with colleagues across WEX, especially those in the business areas and other teams.

* Prepare clear and organized documentation of testing work, findings, and the reasons behind conclusions and recommendations.

* Assist in creating compliance reports for the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), Management Compliance Committee (MCC), Management, and/or the Board.

* Work with department managers to help implement changes to systems, fix any potential rule violations, and provide training or guidance to teams.

* Assist in developing processes, policies, and procedures to make sure the bank follows all regulatory requirements.

Experience you'll bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Attention to detail.

  • 2 years prior banking experience preferred.

  • Ability to research regulatory changes and analyze their impact.

  • Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with colleagues and communicating with management.

  • Proficiency in using relevant software and systems is important.
