Facilities Technician

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is looking for a reliable Facilities Technician to help maintain our 17-building complex and support over 900 employees. The facilities team often works closely with Engineers to support varied program needs. The selected candidate will gain work experience in a variety of trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, woodworking, painting, and carpentry.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
• Valid driver's license
• Working knowledge of MS Office and the ability to effectively utilize e-mail and spreadsheets
• Willingness to perform facilities support outside of core business hours as required

• Working knowledge of trades
• Willing to travel as needed
• Preventative Maintenance Experience

• Ability to carry, push, pull, drag, or hold up to 40 pounds
• Ability to spend substantial time walking, standing, pulling, and reaching

• $33,500-$52,500
  • Salary commensurate based on education and experience
