The Team

The Hershey International Team (global excluding USA) is on a journey to double our business over the next 10-years by bringing more moments of goodness around the world through our great products and experiences. You can join the heart of it all as part of the Hershey International Strategy and Marketing team (ISM) working with partners all around the world to drive strategy & performance, build global brands and deliver consumer centric products & innovation!

The Role

Innovation is a critical function at the company, responsible for shaping and building holistic growth plans across key regions and brands, acting as a trusted advisor to the Hershey International Leadership Team, helping teams deliver their business ambitions and ultimately driving our purpose of More Moments of Goodness and vision to be a Leading Snacking Powerhouse.

As a member of the Hershey International Strategy and Marketing team, the Sr. Manager International Innovation is accountable for translating the strategic direction of the company into clear consumer-based innovation strategies and initiatives to deliver business growth both short term and in the 3-5 year horizon.

This individual will leverage the power of external knowledge (consumer, category and competitive intelligence) and a thorough understanding of all our internal capabilities and business needs to create and bring to life growth driving innovation platforms across the world. From insights and identification of strategic opportunity areas to ideation and successful commercialization to setting up the proper infrastructure and processes for strong innovation delivery - this individual will work with regional innovation teams to shape the future of Hershey's and deliver our financial goals.

Strategic thinking, complex problem solving and diligent project management are essential to success. They will influence, advise and lead regional marketing and cross functional teams to drive strategy to financial delivery.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead, implement and own international innovation strategy
  • Lead insights work to build, understand and translate external consumer, competitive, category + more knowledge into growth driving platforms
  • Lead planning, management and delivery of the 3-year Innovation pipelines
  • Commercialize key multi-market platforms driving ideation to in-market launch
  • Lead complex problem solving especially with regards to commercialization / project delivery analyzing and synthesizing information from multiple sources to formulate business recommendations
  • Design, implement and improve innovation processes and capabilities
  • Develop senior and executive-level presentations (International and regional leadership, Executive Committee updates etc.)
  • Work collaboratively with global cross functional and regional teams



Ideal Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or equivalent marketplace experience highly preferred
  • 6+ years of combined experience in leading CPG/FMCG company with 3+ years in innovation specifically
  • Brand building mastery - has experience and demonstrated ability to build brands with strong marketing fundamentals like insights generation, business reviews/assessments, equity/positioning work, brand strategy experience, creative media development and innovation commercialization
  • Experienced in innovation strategy developing, project commercialization and innovation/portfolio management processes (ex. Stage-Gate) and technology (ex. Accolade)
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial metrics and P&L fundamentals
  • Expert in collaboration, communication and ability to influence
  • Self-driven, growth-minded, solutions-oriented and strong project manager
