DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment. Your work will involve multiple trades, including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and masonry. Key duties include performing rough and finish carpentry, painting interior and exterior surfaces, and installing or repairing fixtures such as sinks and faucets. You will also install and replace electrical panels, circuits, and lighting, as well as service heating and air conditioning systems. Additional tasks include snow removal and concrete or masonry repairs. Regular use and maintenance of both manual and power tools will be required. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 ( Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience in industrial carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and refrigeration or HVAC system maintenance and repair
- Experience with 3-phase wiring
- Experience with domestic hot water mixing valves, recirculating loops, aqua stats and instantaneous water heaters
- Experience with the provisions of Life Safety Codes and Uniform Construction Code (UCC), as it relates to repairs of buildings
- Structural experience in the maintenance or repair of buildings
- Experience in the maintenance or repair of commercial buildings
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
