Position Objective


:

The Quality Systems Manager is responsible for the Quality Management System (QMS) and supporting processes. The ultimate goal is to ensure that the entire Aerospace & Defense Solutions business is compliant with required accreditations and certifications, that we conform to internal and external standards, and continually improve our processes and systems.

Essential Responsibilities


:

• Manages the total quality system for our Aerospace & Defense Solutions businesses
  
  
  
• Ensures adherence to and compliance with established company quality policies, practices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), government regulations and customer quality requirements
  
  
  
• Oversees Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with company objectives and requirements, customer requirements and third-party requirements
  
  
  
• Provides leadership and metrics to drive supporting processes such as internal audit, nonconformance/CAPA, risk management, etc.
  
  
  
• Responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance with corporate quality initiatives at the plant level by working with plant management and directing quality improvement programs
  
  
  
• Facilitates audits by regulatory agencies and other internal/external third parties
  
  
  
• May be responsible for on-site training
  
  
  
• Participates on cross-functional teams and interfaces with external partners as required
  
  
  
• May lead direct reports involving hiring, firing and performance management
