Drafter Quality Assurance Specialist

Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) partners with prime contractors to provide professional services. Key service areas include Engineering Design and Documentation; Software Development and Testing; System Integration, Testing and Evaluation; Lab Management and Field Installation; Integrated Logistics Support, Training Development and Delivery, Multimedia Support, and Technical System Support.

Drafter Quality Assurance Specialist Job Description:

Experience reviewing drawings prior to release for parts or equipment from sketches or marked-up prints. Selecting appropriate templates or various equipment needed to complete assignments. Drawings fit familiar patterns, present a few technical problems, and meet customer expectations/NAVSEA specifications.

Drafter Quality Assurance Specialist Required Skills:

Review drawings for completeness and accuracy with high attention to detail.

* Engineering Product Data Management (EPDM) experience is a plus.

* CAD modeling/drafting/design experience. (Solidworks, CREO, Zuken, Visio).

* Capable of reading mechanical drawings (part and assembly) and electrical drawings (wirelist, cable).

* Bill of Materials (BOM) experience.

* Experience reviewing documents for NAVSEA or similar environment.

* Collaborate across departments to ensure product accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.

* Resolve and adjudicate comments for team/customers.

Drafter Quality Assurance Specialist Desired Skills:

* Extensive GD&T experience

* Experience in machining/assembling cables or mechanical assemblies from drawings would be a plus.

Drafter Quality Assurance Specialist Additional Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Drafting, Illustrating, Graphic arts or related engineering field and at least 5 years of experience; or equivalent experience/combined education.

* Effective oral and written communication skills.

* Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen.

Location:Manassas, VA (Relocation Assistance Available)

Job Type: Full-Time Employee, 40 hours/week
