Assembler

Staffmark is hiring a full-time Assembler in Abilene, TX for a company that values hard work, attention to detail, and employee growth. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity with long-term potential.

Pay: $12.50/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assemble components by placing parts in specified relationships and fastening them using bolts, clips, screws, cement, etc.
• Cut products to specified measurements.
• Remove defective products as needed.
• Operate machinery for force-fitting or fastening operations.
• Work at different stations as production needs shift.
• Maintain flexibility to handle different models and tasks throughout the day.
• Keep equipment, floors, and work areas clean following safety procedures.

What We're Looking For:

• Ability to read and follow simple written or oral instructions.
• Comfortable writing simple correspondence and communicating in small groups.
• Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Strong common-sense reasoning skills to handle standard problems and instructions.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for the full shift.
• Open to working overtime as needed.
