Are you a strong communicator with a passion for helping others navigate financial challenges? As a Loan Counselor, you'll be the first point of contact for student loan borrowers seeking guidance and support in resolving their delinquent accounts. You'll play a vital role in helping individuals regain control of their financial future by providing clear, compassionate, and compliant solutions tailored to their needs. Key Responsibilities * Initiate outbound calls to borrowers to discuss repayment options and resolve delinquent student loan accounts. * Transition to handling inbound calls after completing training. * Educate borrowers on available repayment plans, deferment, forbearance, and other resolution strategies. * Maintain accurate and detailed records of all borrower interactions. * Ensure compliance with federal regulations, company policies, and procedures outlined in the Repayment Solutions manual. * Meet performance goals related to call volume, resolution rates, and customer satisfaction. What to Expect * Call volume may range from 40 to several hundred calls per week, depending on business needs. * You'll begin with outbound calling and receive training for inbound call handling. * Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with opportunities for growth. Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED required. * Experience in customer service, call center, collections, or financial services preferred. * Strong verbal communication and active listening skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). * Ability to type efficiently (WPM proficiency preferred). * Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
