TEKsystems has a client that is looking for a Network Engineer to help support the networking equipment within their Data Center over the next year to work on various projects as well as daily operations while they prepare to optimize their overall IT environment in preparation of their journey to the cloud. This role will be a hybrid onsite role 1 - 2 days per week. You could report onsite in Southfield, MI or Grand Rapids, MI within an office setting. The main technologies/tasks they are looking for support are:
oWork will be supporting datacenters oMostly Cisco technology - data center advanced routing oNexus - 7K, 9K oCisco ACI (nice to have) oVXLAN, EVPN, BGP routing protocols oFirewalls would be a different team but would help oCheckpoint Firewalls oWireless help would be huge - Aruba, Cisco HPE oLooking for someone that is beyond CCNA and working towards CCNP oUpper tier of network space This is budgeted for one year, but there is an opportunity you could get extended and we have a high success rate of contractors who apply for direct roles (if funding is available) following their contracts. *Skills* Nexus, EVPN, BGP, VXLAN, Checkpoint, Data Center, Firewall *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
