Clinical Research Assistant

Job Description Summary

To provide assistance in support of clinical research studies that are being conducted within the Department of Surgery Comprehensive Transplant Center in conjunction with the non-cancer College of Medicine (COM) Center for Clinical Research Management (CCRM); assists with implementation and coordination of studies; participates in recruitment of study participants; performs behavioral or diagnostic testing; assists with collection maintenance amp; reporting of clinical research data.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelors Degree in biological sciences, health sciences or medical field, or equivalent combination of education experience.

Experience Required

0 years of relevant experience is required.

Experience and Skills Desired

Experience in research capacity desired; knowledge or experience in clinical research or transplant medicine desired; experience in phlebotomy desired; experience performing basic laboratory procedures to process biological specimens desired; computer skill required with knowledge of database software applications desired.

This position may require flexible hours to include evenings, weekends, and possibly holidays. On-call may be required. This position is patient facing and requires staff to be on site.
