The Loan Servicing Escrow Account Specialist is responsible for loan servicing activities as it relates to, but not limited to, obtaining, and paying insurance premiums and property tax payments, setting up insurance and tax disbursements on escrowed loans and notifying bank staff regarding insurance and tax escrow matters.

As a Loan Servicing Escrow Account Specialist, you will:


  • Monitor escrow accounts to insure timely remittance of payment to applicable insurance agencies and taxing authorities.
  • Contact insurance agents and/or companies, as needed, to obtain insurance information.
  • Obtain tax information, as needed, to set up and disburse tax payments.
  • Process private mortgage insurance (PMI) payments, respond to borrower requests for PMI cancellation and monitor loan activity to ensure compliance with the Homeowners Protection Act (HPA)
  • Act as liaison between bank, lending staff, and 3rd party tax and insurance vendors to resolve discrepancies related to escrow processing.
  • Generate and review for accuracy annual escrow statements for mailing to borrowers.
  • Process premium payments and set up escrow accounts for any insurance policies established through the force placed insurance process.
  • Serve as back up for mortgage loan servicing functions not related to escrow account management.
  • Uphold Nicolet's philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  • High School diploma
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of investor reporting required.
  • 3-5 years of investor reporting preferred.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
