Engineering Intern

The City of Northfield is recruiting for an Engineering Intern. This position provides assistance to the Engineering Manager for special projects as assigned. The projects may include, but are not limited to, research, construction inspection, construction documentation and GIS Data Collection.

This internship will consist of field inspections, construction observation, and other engineering tasks, as experience will allow.

Start date, schedule and length of internship are flexible and will be negotiated based on school schedules. Preference will be given for ability to work full-time during June, July, and August.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* High School diploma.

* Interns must be pursuing a two-year or four-year degree at an accredited college in a related field to the internship.

* Training in computers and software required.

* Any combination of education and/or experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.

Hours per shift vary. Flexible scheduling includes morning, afternoon, and evening, Monday through Friday.
