What's the Short Version?

The Compensation and Benefits Analyst conducts analysis of SanMar's compensation and benefits programs.

What Will You Be Doing?



  • Resolve routine compensation requests and provide support for HR team by supplying appropriate pay grades, ranges, and pay data for new hires, promotions, etc.
  • Prepare salary survey submissions, market assessments and associated analysis.
  • Monitor and audit pay practices to ensure compliance with policies, guidelines, and wage and hour laws; conduct FLSA assessments.
  • Assist in maintaining job description library, drafting and updating job descriptions, evaluating jobs, and determining their classification.
  • Prepare analytics, reports, and presentations for compensation and benefit programs.
  • Support the annual merit and bonus process including managing data and providing logistical support to HR and managers.
  • Assist with compensation reviews of functional areas and the development of recommendations and action plans designed to attract, retain, and reward employees.
  • Act as a key subject matter expert representing the compensation and benefits team throughout the organization.
  • Conduct benefit plan monthly enrollment analysis, claims cost analysis, and specific analysis after the annual open enrollment.
  • Assist with analyzing and reconciling 401k data for nondiscrimination testing and annual audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.



What Are We Looking For?



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years analytical experience in Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, or related.
  • Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR)-HRCI or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills; experienced creating dashboards and pivot tables.
  • Experience using Power BI strongly preferred.
  • General understanding of compensation practices, terminology and structures.
  • General understanding of benefit and retirement practices, terminology, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with FLSA compliance guidelines.
  • Excellent research skills and great attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills, to include the ability to prioritize projects and meet established or anticipated deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with individuals internal and external to the organization in an effective, courteous, and productive manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed.



What's Our Offer?

Salary Range: You`ll earn between $80,000 - $105,000 annually, depending on experience.

Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.

Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?

Hybrid: SanMar's Eastpointe office is located in Issaquah, WA in the Seattle metropolitan area. Employees are required to work in our offices Tuesday through Thursday each week and additional days may be added based on business needs. Our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work environment is moderately quiet. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions. Quarterly travel may be required.
