About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Accounting Manager to join our finance team and oversee the accounting functions supporting our supply chain operations. This critical role will focus on managing and optimizing the financial aspects of costs related to production, OEM sourcing, inventory management, and logistics. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory records, improve financial reporting processes, and drive cost efficiency. In addition, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance financial performance, enforce internal controls, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies, all while aligning with broader business objectives. This position offers an opportunity to have a direct impact on both operational efficiency and strategic decision-making within the organization.

What you'll do:

Financial Reporting & Accounting

  • Prepare and manage financial reports for supply chain activities, focusing on production costs, OEM sourcing, inventory, and logistics.
  • Lead month-end and quarter-end closing, ensuring accurate cost recording.
  • Reconcile supply chain accounts, ensuring accurate inventory valuation and proper general ledger reflection.

Inventory & Cost Management

  • Oversee inventory accounting, ensuring accurate valuation and timely recording of transactions.
  • Analyze inventory excess, obsolescence, net realizable value, and other stock valuation adjustments.
  • Support physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

Logistics & Supply Chain Cost Control

  • Assist in analyzing logistics costs.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting of freight, tariffs, and logistics expenses.

Process Improvement & Efficiency

  • Lead automation and streamlining of accounting procedures to implement best practices.
  • Manage and improve the monthly closing process.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Support the implementation of new accounting systems to improve financial efficiency.

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Adhere to IFRS and financial reporting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies for supply chain operations.
  • Support audits (internal and external) by providing documentation and analysis for inventory and supply chain costs.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Partner with finance, operations, and supply chain teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business leadership.
  • Cultivate relationships with business partners across locations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on manufacturing, supply chain, or OEM sourcing in a durable goods environment.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Expertise in financial reporting, inventory management, and cost control.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and inventory management tools.
  • CPA (US) designation preferred; CMA is a plus.
  • Strong data management and analysis skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate teams and build cross-functional partnerships.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, able to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex issues to senior leadership.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proactive work ethic, with a focus on process improvement and project ownership.
  • Strong business acumen, capable of effectively communicating financial results to internal stakeholders.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel within North America to support business needs, including physical inventory, collaboration with local teams, and attending key meetings or events.
  • Work Environment: This position follows a hybrid work model, with 60% in-office and 40% remote. The office is located in Charlotte, NC, providing a supportive environment for collaboration and personal growth, with flexibility for a balanced work-life structure.
