Role Summary This position will support Electrify America and subsidiary in expansion of charging network infrastructure and related activities. Key areas of responsibility will be leading the controlling function over charging network investment, including construction of new charging stations, equipment maintenance, related inventories and leasing arrangements. This position is responsible for ensuring that costs are properly planned, controlled, accounted for and analyzed; in adherence to accounting standards and corporate policies. Role Responsibilities Network Investment - 30%
- Provide strategic financial leadership over capital budgets related to charging networks and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives
- Oversee and direct controlling and accounting service teams to ensure the proper recordkeeping of network related accounting transactions and expenses, including month-end accruals
- Validate accuracy and completeness of financial reporting through oversight measures and review of the internally developed fixed asset checklist
- Lead and provide supervision of various analytical initiatives of charging infrastructure investments, inventory balances, and related expenditures, providing timely executive-level insights and recommendations
- Monitor and enhance controls and processes over charging network related expenditures
- Provide leadership and oversight to controller(s) responsible for designated operating budgets, including site acquisition, supply chain, equipment warranty, as well as other assigned categories
- Review and approve accuracy of site related depreciation and other non-operating costs
- Ensure adherence to budgeted/forecasted spending throughput participation in procurement activities
- Support procurement activities by providing leadership level financial guidance, conducting second-level approval of expenditures, and ensuring adherence to budgeted/forecasted spending
- Participate and offer guidance in Request for Proposal (RFP) and award activities, ensuring financial feasibility and risk mitigation in vendor selection
- Provide oversight ensuring timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices, management of pre-payments and deposits
Leadership - 20%

Financial Planning & Reporting - 20%
- Lead budget and forecast projects, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals and objectives
- Proactively manage and provide executive-level insights into actual variances and anticipated deviations from capital and operating plans
- Lead development of short-term capital investment planning, including precise cash flow forecasts and funding requirements
- Participate in long-term planning initiatives to be led by financial planning and analysis group
- Ensure charging infrastructure related expenditures are properly reflected within the financial reports
- Review and approve key financial reports, ensuring timely and strategic financial insights for senior leadership
- Prepare board of directors and executive level reports for quarterly meetings
Audit and Compliance Support - 20%
- Provide leadership to ensure audit readiness and compliance with internal controls
- Lead internal and external audits over designated areas, through review requested materials, responses to audit inquiries, and compliance with financial regulations
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping of charging site designation, as required by the Zero Emission Vehicle Investment Plan
- Act is primary liaison for Tax and Treasury functions on network related topics.
Special Projects - 10%
- Lead special projects related to financial analysis, process optimization, and technology enhancements, driving operational efficiency
- Implement best practices in capital investment tracking, reporting, and financial analytics
- Lead process improvement initiatives, including future software implementations and system enhancement
Qualifications
Years of Experience
- 10 years of relevant experience
- 5 years of people management experience
Education - Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline
- Accounting Designation (CPA, CMA)
Education - Desired
- Master Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline
- Big 4 public accounting experience preferred

- Controlling, accounting or equivalent function experience in electric vehicle charging or construction industries
- Strong leadership experience in managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams
- Demonstrated expertise in reviewing financial work products, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Proven ability to implement cost controls and drive strategic financial initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
- Significant experience in overseeing budgeting and forecasting processes
- Strong analytical and data management capabilities, with the ability to synthesize insights from multiple financial data sources
- Expertise in business case development, financial modeling, and optimization to support key investment decisions
- Proven ability to act as a partner and liaison with business units and stakeholders, managing competing priorities and driving effective decision making
- Work cross-functionally with internal and external partners on complex, multipart projects
- Established track record of successfully leading internal and external audits
- Experience with financial & accounting software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams skills
Specialized Skills - Desired
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- SAP Financial Software Experience (S4hana)
- IFS ERP Software Experience (Asset management)
- Experience in software implementation
- Expertise in financial reporting of lease related assets and liabilities
- Project based controlling experience
Work Flexibility
- Available for limited travel, may include trips to Germany, Canada, and U.S. field locations

In the state of California, the salary range is $136,300 -194,900. In the state of Colorado, the salary range is $136,300 -194,900. In the state of Washington, the salary range is $136,300 -194,900. In New York City, the salary range is $163,600 - 233,900. In Westchester County, the salary range is $163,600 - 233,900.
