Responsibilities

We're currently hiring a Facilities Engineer in Rochester, New York. This role will join the Kodak Rochester Facilities (KRF) group; responsible for the management of buildings and site services, contract and supplier management, fire department, inspections and risk management, and several supporting operational services, and supporting Eastman Business Park growth and strategic initiatives.

The Facilities Engineer is the technical expert to address a multitude of building, land and process engineering requirements as EBP continues to grow its development with both Kodak and external Kodak tenants acquiring space or constructing buildings. This responsibility is the primary source for investigation for Kodak site projects, tenant projects, and is the Energy Manager representing Kodak EBP buildings. The role utilizes various tools and software to monitor building utility consumption to assist with determining energy reduction projects and systems upgrade/modernization for the organization. The Facility Engineer collaborates with RED Rochester and equipment providers to coordinate organizational energy and sustainability programs and provide analysis, information, and recommendations to applicable leadership. Responsible for providing technical analysis, review, measurement, and verification projects.

Responsibilities:

* Acts as project lead for development of energy savings projects, working with NYSERDA and internal organizational representatives.

* Leads technical projects involving Kodak or tenant requirements, evaluating needs, scoping project and providing project cost estimates.

* Provides technical analysis/review for projects, providing project risk assessment.

* Identify and establish working relationships with all necessary engineering, construction, and procurement firms (with focus on energy conservation and generation resources) required to execute energy recommendations.

* Perform building "walk-through" and identify energy conservation measures (architectural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) throughout Eastman Business Park buildings.

* Effectively develop scopes of work for and manage consulting engineers performing building audits.

* Effectively analyze and assess the economic impacts of utility company rate structures and supply side options in a wide variety of customer environments.

* Use of simulation software and spreadsheets to accurately represent pre and post retrofit building operation, and customizes software and spreadsheets to achieve desired technical results and presentations.

* Recommends best methods for measurement and verification of system performance.

* Conducts interim reviews during project construction to assess guaranteed impact of any changes to the original contract scope of work.

* Accurately assess and provide feedback on project engineering risk.

* Provide continuous improvement recommendations for optimizing energy usage and equipment upgrade and modernization.

* Analyzes data output for trends and/or any deviations that need further investigating.

* Assists in the preparation of cost estimates for projects.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred OR 7 years+ equivalent experience in a related field in an industrial/manufacturing environment, utilities expertise in buildings systems and equipment processes and broad knowledge of various skilled trades.

* Valid Driver's License required.
