Purpose of Position

The Director, Inside Sales will lead the inside sales team with a focus on the acquisition of new and prospective customers. This leadership position is passionate about developing talent, experienced in KPI-driven sales management, and skilled at fostering a high energy and growth-oriented team culture.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the development and execution of new business leads and opportunities to achieve sales goals, including quotas and processes involving sales improvement and generating revenue.
  • Conducts market research and closely analyzes market trends to identify new customer prospects and/or innovative insights strategies.
  • Define and monitor applicable sales KPIs, track individual and team performance, and implement improvement strategies.
  • Educates team on the sales cycle and identifies and develops targeted sales campaigns to be executed.
  • Inspire, engage, and retain top talent by fostering a supportive, high-performance sales environment that lives out the Flight Plan.
  • Champion Salesforce initiatives and adoption for optimum team output and effectiveness.
  • Coach, train, and develop Sales Consultants on sales strategy, presentation skills, business acumen, product, and results.
  • Guide the team in effectively managing leads, tracking pipeline progress, and achieving sales targets.
  • Coordinates collaboratively with other Sales Directors on all improvement & development programs for the holistic sales team.
  • Collaborates with the Sales Director Team to ensure communication and transparency of all deals within territories.
  • Travel in support of Sales team goals, recruitment efforts and effectiveness.
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Pilots License or aviation industry experience preferred.
Minimum Experience
  • 10 + years in a direct sales environment
  • Experience in focused account management with demonstrated achievement of new customer acquisition and revenue growth
  • Experienced in performance management utilizing sales KPIs
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and/or pivot tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to interact professional with various levels of management in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and high-pressure situations
  • Knowledge of management principles and their applications
  • Customer service and results oriented
  • Expertise in a variety of sales concepts, practices and procedures including needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems and develop solutions
  • Demonstrated agent of change, and skilled at balancing functional/departmental initiatives in tandem with organizational objectives
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software, in particular Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM systems or databases
