This position is site-based and requires a presence on-site three days per week.

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join Lantheus as a key member of the accounting team. This role will be primarily responsible for supporting monthly gross margin accounting, preparing and posting journal entries, and managing fixed asset accounting and reporting in collaboration with management. Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:



  • Maintain, with supervisory assistance, accountability for the general ledger, journal entries, and underlying support for dedicated accounting areas within accounting close cycles. Focus on property, plant and equipment, gross margin and other ad hoc areas as required.
  • Manage, with supervisory assistance, the fixed asset process, including processing and recording project set ups, closeouts, and capital asset requisitions as well as recording monthly depreciation in the accounting system, and ensuring the reconciliation of the fixed asset subledger to the summary general ledger each month.
  • Reconcile other balance sheet and applicable income statement accounts with supporting documentation for assigned areas of responsibility, including variance analysis and forecasting.
  • Assist in the setup and/ or maintenance of processes, procedures and controls that properly capture, track and report financial results, in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley, U.S. GAAP and company policies.
  • Effectively business partner and collaborate with cross functional teams and all members of our Accounting & Finance team (domestic and international), particularly with respect to property, plant and equipment process management.
  • Assist in ERP transactional processing, data management activities, business intelligence analysis, capabilities and reporting, and other systems utilized by the Accounting & Finance team.
  • Provide support for footnote disclosures for financial reporting purposes related to assigned areas of responsibility as requested by the SEC Reporting team.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement process changes in areas of responsibility to drive transition to "best in class" finance organization.
  • Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency, motivation, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, or as a team member.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing to all levels within the organization.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1-2 years accounting experience; recent public accounting experience preferred.
  • CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus
  • Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting and reporting systems.


Other Requirements:



  • Public company experience is preferred but not required.
  • SAP Experience is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn technical working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC accounting/reporting rules.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with cross-functional teams.
