Overview

The Senior Manager, Human Resources supports the People & Culture (P&C) function within the Clean Energy and Infrastructure (CE&I) Industrial group of MasTec, leading HR operations for the Industrial group. This role is responsible for overseeing workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, and implementation of P&C programs in alignment with the Industrial group's operational goals. The Senior Manager, Human Resources ensures consistent application of policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal employment laws and company standards. This role contributes to initiatives such as engagement survey action planning, performance and development planning, and recruitment strategies, partnering closely with corporate P&C teams. The position provides both leadership and day-to-day HR support to operational teams, driving HR compliance, employee engagement, and operational excellence.

Location: This position can be located remotely near Spokane, Washington or Denver, Colorado (locations for our Industrial market sector main offices). If close to our office, onsite and hybrid shedule is also available. Travel requirement - 40%, or as needed based on business demands.

Responsibilities

    Oversees the daily operations and workflow of the HR department.
  • Plans, leads, develops, and coordinates the implementation of HR policies, processes, training programs, initiatives, and surveys to support organizational strategy and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Leads or supports the administration of key HR functions-including compensation, benefits, leave management, employee relations (including disciplinary actions and conflict resolution), performance and talent management, employee engagement, recognition, morale, and training and development-in partnership with the People & Culture Services teams.
  • Collaborates with the Compensation team to analyze wage and salary data and develop competitive compensation strategies.
  • Manages and maintains the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to support organizational and workforce needs.
  • Conducts research and analysis of workforce trends using data and metrics from HR systems, including dashboards and Power BI.
  • Prepares and delivers information to senior leadership, department heads, and staff regarding HR policies, programs, and best practices.
  • Serves as a strategic HR business partner to senior leadership by aligning human capital strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Leads performance management, employee development, and succession planning efforts within the Industrial group.
  • Supports organizational change and development initiatives, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Leads, coaches, and mentors HR team members to ensure effective service delivery and professional growth.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Seven (7) + years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven leadership experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Bachelor's degree (from a 4-year college or university).
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP preferred.

  • Authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without company sponsorship.
  • Must have and maintain a valid state issued Driver's License with driving record that meets company guidelines.
