Job Summary Oversees spend management activities and functions within Supply Chain and includes Contracting and Value Analysis, Purchasing, and Informatics. Responsibilities include but are not limited to planning and leading the contracting life cycle, strategic and operations activities within the department to include effective integration and implementation of a Supply Chain Spend Management and Informatics strategy. Leads the development and integration of data visualization tools, master data files, and Supply Chain ERP optimization across the enterprise. Responsible for continuous improvement and the development of appropriate policies, procedures, and processes to ensure effective and efficient Supply Chain Spend Management operations. Identifies strategic value creation opportunities and cascades goals throughout the department in order to achieve them.
Essential Functions

Oversight of the contracting and value analysis activities and personnel to ensure identification and proper vetting of potential cost saving and/or improvement of quality of care/patient safety initiatives. Support and work extensively with leaders of Supply Chain and executive leadership within the organization to assist with data accumulation, analysis, data visualization, preparation, and presentation. Leads and/or directs process improvement efforts with customers throughout the organization, Supply Chain staff, and end users in order to enhance and execute daily work with the Supply Chain systems. Works with others both, within the department, and the organization to understand information needs, support request for data, and present analysis and recommendations. Lead, direct, and manage the contract portfolio to ensure it is effective, efficient, meets the requirements of the organization, and is optimized between the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and local contracts and agreements. Create strategic alliances with key suppliers to leverage volume and optimize price and spend. Interviews, hires, conduct performance evaluations, trains, and attends to personnel issues with staff under his/her area of responsibility. Leads and/or directs system-wide purchase orders for capital equipment, products, and purchased services. Develops and maintains department policies and procedures that ensure an effective and efficient purchasing operation. Provides recommendations and takes actions to improve the Procurement to Payment (P2P) process. Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and take actions to improve operational and financial performance. Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of team members that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority. Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health or affiliate and will have two or more direct reports.
Minimum Requirements
Education - Bachelor's degree in related field of study. Master's degree preferred. Experience - Eight (8) years supply chain and/or healthcare experience. Experience using metrics to drive decisions and working with external vendors
