Overview

Join our global team as a Senior Engineer in DevOps, collaborating with stakeholders across the US, India, Scotland, Denmark, and China. This pivotal role focuses on managing and enhancing the CI/CT/CD infrastructure and serving as a crucial liaison with the IT department. You will also contribute to our strategic goal of transitioning products and infrastructure to the Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

    Architect, build, and maintain cost-efficient, scalable cloud environments in alignment with business objectives.
  • Apply a deep understanding of industry best practices and current technology trends.
  • Balance security requirements with business-enabling capabilities.

This position is an integral part of our expanding, high-performing DevOps infrastructure team and plays a vital role in advancing Shure Inc.'s technological and strategic cloud initiatives.

This role will be hybrid in our Niles, IL HQ!



Responsibilities

  • Build and Maintain Jenkins Pipelines: Design, implement, and maintain efficient and scalable Jenkins pipelines to support the software development lifecycle.
  • Design and Develop Engineering Solutions: Develop solutions and deliver as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar to provision and manage AWS infrastructure resources. This included DevOps build tools and observability solutions using tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Monitor and maintain Pipelines and Systems: Continuously monitor CI/CD pipelines and production systems to ensure high availability and reliability and proactively address any issues. Perform regular updates, maintenance, and optimization of development and infrastructure tools to support streamlined development processes.
  • Liaison with Product Teams: Work closely with product teams to coordinate efforts, gather requirements, and ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • SME on Pipeline Standards: Act as the subject matter expert on pipeline standards, providing guidance and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency across the organization


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in CS or CE. Master degree a plus.
  • CI/CD Management: Extensive experience managing Jenkins, including configuring jobs, writing Groovy scripts for pipelines, and managing Jenkins via code.
  • DevOps Tools Experience: Proven experience working with and managing DevOps tools, including the Atlassian tool suite (such as JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket) and the jFrog platform (including Artifactory and Xray). Ability to integrate these tools into the CI/CD pipeline to enhance collaboration, artifact management, and overall DevOps efficiency.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization, and practical knowledge of Amazon ECS and EKS for managing and orchestrating containers in AWS.
  • AWS Infrastructure: Proficient in using AWS CloudFormation for provisioning and managing infrastructure. Familiarity with Amazon ECR for container registries and RDS for database management. Strong understanding of AWS IAM roles, policies and AWS Secrets Manager for secure access and sensitive information management.
  • Observability: Experience implementing and managing monitoring solutions using Grafana and time series data sources like Prometheus, and InfluxDB
  • Configuration as Code: Proficient in using Ansible for automation of system configuration management.
  • Networking: Knowledge of AWS networking principles and practices, including VPCs, subnets, Security Groups, and routing.
  • Having domain knowledge in Audio is a plus

PAY TRANSPARENCY
Shure offers a competitive compensation structure that is reviewed annually to attract, hire, and retain the industry's top talent. Base salaries vary based on qualifications, geography, experience, and expertise in each respective discipline. The base salary range for this position is between $90,200 - $181,300. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for this opportunity. If your salary expectations do not align, still apply as we are often flexible on the seniority of posted positions. All positions also include an award-winning benefits package.
