THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This is advanced clerical-accounting work involving the application of bookkeeping principles and practices in compliance with all regulatory guidelines. In this important role, you will review, post and process a variety of financial, payroll or audit documents. Work involves analyzing forms, correspondence, reports and other fiscal records for IV-E determination, accuracy of information and compliance with rules and regulations. This position maintains expenditure and budgetary control accounts and prepares reports relating to account and fiscal status.

Other duties to include but not limited to:

  • Reviewing Purchased Services Invoices
  • Maintaining IV-E database and keeping indexes up to date
  • Setting up all new vendors
  • Creating transmittals and depositing miscellaneous income (refunds, donations, etc.), posting in Lotus approach/child information, and filing when completed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant;or
  • Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
  • One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • This particular position also requires possession of a current driver's license which is not under suspension.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Beaver County. If no eligible candidates who live within Beaver County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
