Leadperson

Supervises and coordinates activities of employees engaged in the building of manufactured products. Assists in the manufacturing and/or assembly of components and products within the department/value stream.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Assists in the manufacturing and/or assembly of components and products within the department/value stream.
2. Analyzes work orders to create schedules that meet both internal and external needs.
3. Interprets blueprint specifications and job orders, and assigns work to employees.
4. Plans flow of materials through department.
5. Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
6. Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications.
7. Directs and assists employees to repair products which fail to meet standards.
8. Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
9. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
10. Maintains Team Improvement Board.
11. Provides input on employees for performance assessment purposes.
12. Follows established safety and environmental policies, procedures and methods applicable to the work area.
13. Performs other duties as necessary.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

EXPERIENCE:

• 1-3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Full product knowledge within the department/value stream.

SKILLS:

• Ability to read and assemble from a schematic.
• Organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use problem solving tools to troubleshoot products.
• Computer skills including MS Office, Lotus Notes and ability to learn Parker business systems.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

Pay Rate:

• $25 - $26/hr
