Content Design Production Team
This is a 12-month, full-time (40 hours/week), remote contract role located near Culver City, CA.
Summary
We are seeking a talented Brand & Design Guidelines Writer to join the Content Design Production team. In this role, you will create and maintain internal and external-facing Production Design Guidelines that support content creation across various digital services, including music, podcasts, books, and TV. This role helps establish a consistent brand voice, ensuring clarity and accessibility across all design documentation and instructional content.
Our Ideal Candidate
7+ years of experience in writing, creative, and/or brand strategy roles
Passion for brand storytelling with a strong foundation in content design, brand writing, and instructional content development
Proficient in creating and applying brand voice, design guidelines, and instructional documentation
Familiar with content design methodologies, inclusive and accessible writing practices, and user-focused product experiences
Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, program managers, and creative partners
Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder feedback
Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail, grammar, tone, and voice
Highly diplomatic, organized, and able to synthesize complex ideas into clear, approachable content
Job Description
In this role, you will drive the creation and maintenance of design resources and product documentation for both internal and external partners.
You'll partner closely with content design leads, program managers, and creative stakeholders to ensure production design guidelines reflect the brand's voice and standards. This includes developing strategic direction, writing and editing documentation, instructional scripts, and exploring new ways to present technical information in an engaging, accessible manner. You will also manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing detailed editorial work with strategic thinking, and contributing to a cohesive brand experience across all content touch points.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Background in brand writing, content design, instructional design, or creative direction
