We're looking for a skilled CAD Technician who thrives in a collaborative environment and is excited to contribute to designing and constructing vital transportation structures-bridges, retaining walls, and more. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, using cutting-edge tools and software to turn concepts into reality. We will support you along the way to help you build your career. What You'll Do
- Produce detailed CAD drawings, layouts, and graphics for various transportation structures including reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, and steel designs.
- Translate engineering markups into polished construction documents, maintaining precision and consistency.
- Use state-of-the-art software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and OpenRoads Designer.
- Support design tasks under the direction of licensed engineers using industry standards such as AASHTO.
- Maintain structured drawing files, adhere to client and company drafting standards, and support project-specific standards as needed.
- Collaborate through file-sharing systems like ProjectWise and participate in quality assurance reviews.
- Track quantities, update contract drawings, and contribute to project success within scope, budget, and schedule.
What You Bring
- Associate of Applied Science in Civil Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Proficiency in MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Up to 2+ years of drafting experience is a plus focusing on bridge or structural engineering projects.
