Overview

Join our collaborative, high-performing and dynamic Supply Chain Compliance Team and be part of something different! As part of our team, you will have a direct and visible impact to the Electric Boat Supply Chain organization. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of U.S. Export control laws and regulations including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

Responsibilities include:

    Review and provide direction to Buyers on Terms and Condition exceptions provided by Suppliers to reduce Electric Boat's risk
  • Review and analysis of new regulations impacting the Supply Chain Organization, department policy writing and development, department training on regulatory and policy compliance
  • Assisting with internal audits, development of subcontract terms and conditions and review and negotiation of subcontractor exceptions, providing guidance and assistance to buyers on all aspects of compliance-related matters.
  • Additional responsibilities may include management of State Department authorizations including, but not limited, to pre and post import and export reviews and approvals.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • 1 - 9 years years of demonstrated contract experience such as Contract Management, Compliance/Regulatory Experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel)
  • Applicant must possess or be able to secure secret or higher DOD clearance

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), Export Administration Regulation (EAR), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and other import/export regulations
  • Experience with Contract and/or Terms and Condition Negotiations
  • 2+ years of related experience, including involvement with US Government contracting or procurement activities
  • DoD procurement and/or contacting experience/experience


Skills

  • Demonstrated attention to detail to effectively review Supplier Exceptions to Terms and Conditions and provide direction to Buyers on what Electric Boat can and cannot accept
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and adjust to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, think critically, and determine practical solutions to compliance issues
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement procedures
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills; work product sample to demonstrate proficient writing ability desired
