Position Objective:

This position will be responsible for business results for the Ingersoll Rand Life Sciences - Biopharma & Pharma Solutions (BPS) business. The VPGM, BPS, will build and model a great company culture, provide inspired leadership to the team, establish a working relationship with the Ingersoll Rand leadership team and set a course for company strategy. This position will lead a cross-functional business unit team (sales, operations, engineering, quality, HR, finance), new business generation proposal preparation, bookings, Profit and Loss accountability, developing and maintaining customer relationships, establishing the annual business plan, overseeing operating activities to ensure good customer service and cost objectives are met, contract negotiations among other business related duties.

Responsibilities:


  • Transform the Company's vision into a long-term strategy for pioneering new markets and new revenue stream opportunities

  • Commit to short-term results, forecast future revenue, and take accountability for both short-term success and longer-term strategy

  • Focuses on details of value creation, i.e; value based pricing, continual cost improvement, and identifying profitable new business opportunities, market analysis

  • Own P&L fully, constantly monitor and understand financial performance against targets & budgets and make timely decisions/modifications to ensure financial performance is met

  • Guides a team of program managers, commercial personnel, engineers and manufacturing personnel to create real intrinsic value

  • Develop and implement operational policies and a strategic plan

  • Oversee the company's fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing

  • Determine and implement strategic and/or tactical plans to win profitable new business

  • Negotiate sales and marketing contractual commitments with both public & private entities

  • Create a culture of accountability by setting the right metrics and tying company performance, compensation to tangible results

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the business




Requirements
:


  • 15+ years experience in a diverse, multi-country environment with P&L responsibilities

  • Experience in relationship building with internal and external customers at a high level

  • Strong business acumen

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to effectively interact with all levels of an organization

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing growth strategies

  • Strong financial and analytical skills; must be able to develop and implement a strategy to maximize productivity and profitability

  • Must demonstrate dynamic leadership abilities and role-model change agent behavior to institute and support a culture of accountability

  • Strong bias for action and keen sense of urgency

  • Flexible and adaptable to demanding and fast-paced work environment

  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, and professionalism

  • Ability to inspire confidence and create trust

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in a relevant discipline or MBA

  • Travel requirements will be approximately 25-50%
