In this role, you'll help guide technical implementation and quality for our next-generation design system technology.
As a Lead UX Engineer, you'll collaborate with designers, product managers, engineers, accessibility experts, and cloud teams across the organization. Together, you'll build and lead the development of high-quality, accessible, and performant components that power experiences for millions of developers, creating scalable solutions that meet the needs of both no-code enthusiasts and pro-code experts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical implementation of design system features and components
- Define and maintain code quality standards for features and projects
- Lead code reviews and provide meaningful feedback to team members
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making
- Champion web standards and accessibility best practices in implementation
- Identify and implement innovative approaches to improve developer experience
- Create technical documentation and educational content for the team and users
- Collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams to ensure alignment
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong expertise in modern HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web standards
- Experience with component-based architecture and design systems
- Track record of delivering high-quality, maintainable code
- Solid understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and implementation
- Experience leading testing strategies and implementation
- Ability to influence across teams and communicate complex technical concepts
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of semantic HTML and accessible interface development
- Strong proficiency in CSS, including modern layout techniques and architecture patterns
- Advanced JavaScript skills with deep experience in modern frameworks
- Experience with build tools, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with design tools like Figma
- Strong understanding of performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility
- Version control with Git
