The Role

We are looking for a collaborative and entrepreneurial self-starter to join our Wealth Builder team as a Lead Advisor. In this role, you will have accountability for helping grow our Wealth Builder business unit. This new business line was created to leverage our firm's capabilities for an identified client segment, focused on clients best served through a technology-driven platform, with an available personal connection to a Financial Planner. You should have experience using financial planning technology and providing financial advice to clients in a virtual and/or phone setting required. While existing clients of the firm may be appropriate to move to this new platform, you will be responsible for retaining, developing, and growing client relationships primarily in the State of Michigan - St. Joseph's or Grand Rapids. Applicants must be currently located in or willing to relocate to this area, as frequent in-person meetings or regional travel will be required.

* Understand, and be knowledgeable and conversant, on all aspects of Curi RMB's investment philosophy and offerings

* Grow assets while expanding and retaining current client relationships, through referrals, and sourcing new relationships through personal networks

* Develop, present, and implement client specific financial and investment plans

* Coordinate with clients and other trusted advisors

* Demonstrate value through a customized approach that provides insight and recommendations that exceed client expectations

* Coordinate with team leader and other team members to provide consistent, effective client support and service by following client service minimum standards

* Support short-term and long-term Curi RMB business goals and the Wealth Builder annual business plan

* Demonstrate and enforce compliance through adherence of all Curi RMB policies and procedures

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
  • 3+ years of client relationship management in financial services, preferably wealth management
  • Tech savvy with experience using wealth management software and technology (i.e., TAMP platforms such as Envestnet, financial planning software such as MoneyGuidePro or eMoney, performance reporting systems such as Black Diamond or Tamarac, and CRMs such as Salesforce) and custodial platforms such as Fidelity and Schwab

Key Licenses

  • Series 65 or equivalent license
  • CFP completed or course work started with demonstrated commitment to completing certification
