JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Project Coordinator

DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE HEARINGS

Number of Positions: 1

(Additional vacancies possible pending budget approval)

Starting Salary: $67,656

Under general supervision, the class coordinates the administration, development, and implementation of a specific project or program of moderate size and scope for a city department; and performs related duties as required

Positions assigned to this classification are excluded from bargaining union representation based on supervisory, managerial, or confidential authority requirements within the Labor Relations Act.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

* Monitors the preparation and processing of purchase requisitions for the procurement of supplies and equipment and the processing of invoices for payment.

* Maintain accounting records and prepare financial and budgetary reports to account for revenues and fund expenditures

* Establishes work standards and evaluates the staff performance of Student Interns.

* In the absence of HRBP (Excluded) review, approve and/or deny time off request(s) submitted by staff to ensure divisional office operation/coverage

* Provide daily work assignments within the Human Resource Division, who provide department-wide coverage.

* Cross-train to oversee the production of complete records for answers in administrative reviews (paper files and audio), including all exhibits entered into evidence by the Administrative Law Judges.

* Ensure each Department of Administrative Hearings' Court file is complete and accurate.

* Receive review and assign staff requests for records received from the Law Department for cases that have been appealed to the Cook County Circuit Court.

* Ensure that records are completed in accordance with due dates to the Department of Law.



  • Serves as a project or program supervisor, overseeing staff and work operations to ensure established goals and objectives are met

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:30 - 4:30

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training, and Experience



  • Seven (7) years of work experience in program administration
  • Graduation from an accredited college with an Associate's degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning, or a related field, plus five (5) years of program administration work experience
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning, or a related field, plus three (3) years of program administration work experience
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's or Doctorate degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning, or a related field, plus two (2) years of program administration work experience
