Title: Intern - Student Assistant

$15 - $27 per hour / Posted Thru: 5/23/2025

Position Funded Until 9/30/2025

Location: Hybrid / Must live and work in the state of MI

Purpose: The Policy and Strategic Engagement Intern will assist with policy research and provide administrative support to the Federal Liaison.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to the Federal Liaison.
• Manages and completes projects, including those that require the coordination of other team members and their work.
• Complete research and analysis requests as needed.
• Always represent the best interests of MDHHS and MPHI.
• All other duties as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required and current enrollment in post-secondary educational institution.

Experience: Interest in health policy and related fields preferred.

Important Skills and Characteristics:

• Excellent organizational, time management, research, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, able to complete work in a timely manner and handle multiple tasks at one time with minimal supervision.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Standard remote office environment.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS: No assigned responsibility.

IMPACT ON PROJECTS, SERVICES AND OPERATIONS: This position has a direct impact on the quality of services provided by MPHI to MDHHS.
