Thomas is looking for a dynamic individual for the position of Executive Director of Business Innovation. The Executive Director of Business Innovation and Thomas College Corporate Campus is responsible for leading and managing strategic initiatives that serve non-traditional learners, corporate partners, and clients seeking customized training, certifications, and professional development. This position oversees Professional and Career Development Programs, aligning them to support the College's mission and drive non-tuition revenue. The Executive Director serves as the primary point of contact for external constituents and plays a critical role in business development and relationship management. The Executive Director will lead the development and growth of new revenue-generating educational offerings, including stackable certificates, micro-credentials, online degree completion pathways, competency-based learning, and employer-sponsored programs.

The selected candidate will direct the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services related to non-traditional learning, corporate training, and professional development, lead implementation of phased strategic initiatives (e.g., program design, financial modeling, market testing, and scaling), and engage faculty and other experts in the co-creation of career-aligned curriculum and pathways for prospective enrollees within the greater Thomas community and beyond. Identify and cultivate relationships with businesses and organizations to develop customized training and certification programs that generate non-tuition revenue. Supervise the Business Innovation and Corporate Campus staff. Collaborate with campus stakeholders, including Events and Conference Services, Graduate and Professional Studies, Academic Affairs, Advancement, Student Services, Marketing, and Enrollment to ensure alignment of corporate offerings with institutional priorities, operational needs, and academic quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business, education, or related field
  • 10 years of leadership experience in higher education, corporate training, business development, or a related field
  • Demonstrated success in revenue generation and external partnership development
  • Experience leading teams and managing multiple programmatic areas
  • Experience with micro-credentialing, non-traditional education models, or online/hybrid program delivery

The qualified candidate must possess proven leadership and strategic planning skills; strong business development, marketing and relationship management skills; excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
