Under direct supervision of the Clinical Director/Administrator, this Team Lead Unlicensed entry-level management position supervises multidisciplinary teams, coordinates service needs, and collaborates with other services and agencies. Fulfills appropriate level of services for new members served as outlined in the essential functions.

Shifts Available:

Full-Time 40 hrs per week | Approx 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM but can vary | Days: Monday - Friday with After Hours Crisis Availability

Expected starting wage range is $72,808.63 - $89,871.72. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)



  • Registered with the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences; Must have ASW, AMFT, or APCC. Must be valid and current.
  • A Master's Degree in Social Sciences
  • One (1) year supervisory experience required or supervisory training within six (6) months of employment

Who is Care Court?

CARE Court Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is opening in partnership with San Diego County Behavioral Health in response to California's Community, Assistance, Recovery, and Empowerment (CARE) Act.

CARE Court ACT will deliver time-limited, community-based, holistic support to people who meet CARE criteria and agree to participate in these services. Our person-centered approach to care meets people wherever they are in their recovery - addressing the complex needs of the individual and connecting them to resources to thrive in their community.

Program Type: Community-based

To Make Referrals: A referral to CARE Court can be initiated by family members, behavioral health providers, first responders, or other approved petitioners by filing a petition with the Superior Court. Referrals to Telecare CARE ACT are made by the County of San Diego.

Who We Serve: All criteria must be met to be eligible for admittance



  • Aged 18 years and older.
  • Diagnosed with a schizophrenia spectrum disorder or another psychotic disorder in the same class.
  • Individuals must be experiencing symptoms that are persistent, interfere with daily life, and may lead to a loss of independence.
  • Individuals can not receive voluntary treatment elsewhere.
  • One of the following must be applicable:
  • Individual is at risk of safely interacting with the community without supervision, and their condition is deteriorating.
  • Individuals who need services to prevent relapse or deterioration that would result in disability or serious injury to themselves or others.
  • Individuals who will likely benefit from ACT treatment plan.


Exclusion Criteria:



  • Individuals with a serious mental illness, such as bipolar disorder or major depression, are not eligible.
  • Mental illness must not be based on a medical condition, including a physical health condition such as a traumatic brain injury, autism, dementia, or a neurological condition.
  • Individuals with a current diagnosis of substance use disorder must also have a psychotic disorder and meet all the other criteria to be eligible.
