Position Summary:
The Center for Solar-Terrestrial Research (CSTR) of the New
Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) invites applications for a part-time
research assistant position. The candidate will conduct scientific
research related to magnetospheric/ionospheric physics to assist the center's
ongoing research as part of NSF ground instrument projects.

Essential Functions:
-Assists Assistant
Professor, Hyomin Kim, to design, build and test scientific instruments and
analyze data from the instruments.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
-Basic understanding of math, physics and data
processing.
-Good verbal/written communication skills.
-Programming skill (Python, IDL or Matlab).
-Hardware skill (proficiency in computer operation and
configuration and measurement techniques).
-At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position. FLSA:
