Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a new RFP Costing Analyst to join our team! The RFP Costing Analyst serves as the single-point-of-contact for the overall development of costing spreadsheets for customer/sales proposals (RFI/RFP/RFQ) in collaboration with sales, sourcing, RFP analysis and any other required subject matter experts to ensure that internal processes are followed and project timelines are met.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Acts as project manager overseeing the development of accurate costing spreadsheets and final customer-facing pricing per the customer outlined specifications, RFP sourcing requirements and Sales margin strategy for qualified requests

  • Specs all standard products without assistance and more complex products with assistance

  • Assesses and verifies specifications provided to ensure that customer product information is adequate, understood and available to various colleagues; clearly communicates gaps and engages appropriate sources for response to specifications

  • Works directly with various colleagues, executives and subject matter experts including sourcing, sales, distribution, finance and any other personnel related to costing activities

  • Attends initial kick-off and costing meetings; provides costing expertise and input as needed during calls

  • Applies ancillary charges to costing spreadsheet (e.g., warehouse, pick & pack, finance charges, ABCs, etc.)

  • Applies margin per sales direction, prepares accurate and complete final costing and customer spreadsheets; ensures timely hand-off to RFP Analyst

  • Maintains, updates and distributes related files to appropriate personnel and expedites information as required, including those related to completion of profitability analysis documents

  • Participates in ISO quality checks/audits for all print RFP processes

  • Performs other duties as assigned

You Must Have:

  • 0-3 years of related / relevant experience in creation of costing and associated spreadsheets, preferably related to print/print management services

  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Proven experience analyzing data using spreadsheets with strong mathematical aptitude

  • Basic knowledge of print, promotional and label products, production equipment capabilities, manufacturing processes, production rates and materials

  • Computer competency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Salesforce.com experience (reports, dashboards, analytics)

  • Exceptional ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail while multi-tasking

  • Excellent critical thinking, decision-making and analytical problem-solving skills

  • Works well independently as well as in a team environment

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employee.
