Minimum Job Requirements


  • Physical- Sedentary work, proficient in using a 10 key and proficient in using a PC keyboard. Needs to be able to test standards by being present on the manufacturing floor.
  • Working Hours- fulltime (40+ hrs/week) employment
  • Personal Traits- Good communication skills. Ability to multi-task due to varied jobs. Conscientious attention to detail and accuracy.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain cost accounting procedures for the Manning, SC facilities, Timely and accurate completion of job functions. Close and open jobs in Epicor. Create new parts and update and maintain standard costs in Epicor. Create, enhance and maintain reports in Epicor. Run A/P checks. Prepare quotes for internal review.


  • Implement and manage cost accounting systems and procedures for all manufacturing related parts.
  • Prepare comprehensive cost reports and perform detailed financial analyses.
  • Oversee cost allocation methods and standard costing processes to ensure efficiency.
  • Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Ensure all accounting practices comply with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Prepare monthly and year-end inventory reports. Review costing and review inventory for accuracy.
  • Review PPV and workorder variances. Update base documents as appropriate before posting.
  • Review and post WIP Reconciliation Report.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly reporting package to Plant Managers to reflect manufacturing activity.
  • Prepare monthly analysis for management team as requested.
  • Prepare and analyze periodic reports to summarize the accuracy of MES activity.
  • Cost new parts and update the standard cost in the Epicor ERP system.
  • Maintain standard costs in system. Perform cost rolls as appropriate.
  • Arrive to work in a punctual manner and be willing to work overtime when needed.
  • Test standards by observing manufacturing on the floor as directed.
  • Maintain a focus on streamlining processes and continuous improvement in information and analysis.
  • Work closely with Finance Production management teams and Sr Leadership to support budgeting and forecasting.
  • Create, enhance and maintain reports in Epicor.
  • Other ad hoc duties as requested.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Skilled in applying costing procedures to manufactured parts and raw materials and applying good accrual accounting practices.
  • Good organization skills, be able to multi-task.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
  • Experienced in using an ERP system (Epicor preferred) in manufacturing accounting.
  • Strong ability to analyze data and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data using Excel and an ERP system.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.

Education and Experience

* Bachelors' degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field. Five years' experience in maintaining production standards and cost accounting. CPA preferred
