Maintenance Technician

Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician looking to grow with a company that values your skills and supports your success? Staffmark is now hiring a Maintenance Technician for a leading industrial facility in Houston, TX. This is a non-entry-level position ideal for candidates with at least 1 year of experience in preventative maintenance.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00/hour (based on experience)

Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: Monday - Friday
• 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on equipment such as:
• Forklifts, overhead cranes, heat exchangers, heaters, pumps, blowers, and electrical systems
• Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns efficiently to minimize downtime
• Maintain and monitor hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Oversee shop floor activities and support operator performance
• Execute continuous improvement initiatives to reduce equipment failures
• Ensure plant safety procedures and compliance at all times
• Lead and manage daily maintenance activities, schedules, and reporting
• Participate in welding and fabrication tasks as needed
• Identify and validate critical machinery for operational readiness

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of hands-on maintenance experience (forklifts, cranes, heaters, etc.)
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs regularly
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and follow maintenance schedules and safety protocols
• Comfortable managing tasks independently and in a team environment
• Must be reliable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
