The Proposal Specialist is responsible for assisting a Proposal Manager or operations personnel in all aspects of competitive and sole-source proposals. The proposal specialist will prepare proposal artifacts to support proposal production, coordinate color team reviews, perform final editing and formatting, and coordinate and complete final production. The position routinely interacts with SKT, Inc. personnel and external technical subject matter experts, as well as internal program and technical staff.
- Support the Proposal Manager or operations personnel in maintaining the proposal schedule, executing reviews, coordinating production, and executing team communications.
- Develop proposal materials, including compliance matrices, volume templates, past performance references and questionnaires, transmittal letters, and pricing volumes/artifacts
- Write and edit proposal sections as necessary
- Coordinate and execute data calls to collect needed data for proposal submissions
- Administer collaborative proposal sites and access rights, and maintain security, integrity, and proper folder structure.
- Manage the logistics and materials for proposal reviews and serve as the focal point for the collection of responses and materials from multiple sources.
- Coordinate real-time development status and version control of proposal text and graphics.
- Perform desktop publishing of proposal materials in preparation for delivery
- Perform proposal production tasks as required
- Secure or dispose of proposal assets and resources, sanitize the proposal room upon delivery of the proposal (if proposal activities were conducted onsite)
- Assist with curation and organization of proposal resources
- Prepare accurate monthly reports for review by Senior Management
- Collect and analyze data on bid and proposal efforts
- Provide support and data as requested for administrative purposes and in support of the Quality Management System.
- Continually stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices within the federal government bid and proposal discipline.
Education |
- An associate degree in business management, marketing, sales, and/or related field is required.

Experience |
- Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting federal government or commercial/construction bids and proposals
- In the absence of a degree, the candidate must exhibit (5) years' progressive experience with technical federal government or commercial/construction bids and proposals

Special knowledge, skills, & abilities |
- Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write persuasively.
- Thorough Microsoft Office 365 skills, including a high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Microsoft SharePoint skills a plus.
- Experience with artificial intelligence software is a plus.
- Experience with construction bids preferred
