Your Job

As a TANK INSPECTOR, you will be responsible to ensure mechanical integrity and maximize the reliability life cycle value of fixed assets with a high regard for safety and the environment. Acting on behalf of FHR and the Fixed Reliability Technical Group, you will be gathering and analyzing data, making recommendations, communicating and mitigating risks and ensuring quality repairs are completed. Our Team

We are a dynamic team of 23 inspectors and engineers committed to reliability excellence and safety performance. Our team collaborates with the Tank Inspector to manage over 150+ tanks as well as piping and pressure vessels. Our group is supported by over 50+ Inspection Contractors that perform over 1000 inspection tasks throughout the Pine Bend Refinery.

What You Will Do

  • Complete field inspections on Tanks, Piping & Pressure Vessels.
  • Analysis of various types of field data
  • Development of formal recommendations
  • Communication of results and recommendations with other teams
  • Development of inspection plans
  • Management of inspection activities and work execution plans during maintenance outages
  • Maintaining fixed asset records
  • Manage fixed asset inspection methods/strategies
  • Lead and assis in the root cause failure analysis (RCFA) process
  • Ensure code and regulatory compliance in your area of responsibility.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 5+ years tank & offsite equipment inspection experience in a refinery or chemical facility.
  • API 653 & 570 Certifications.
  • Microsoft Office Product Suite Experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to climb ladders, platforms and pipe racks
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends and nights.
  • Travel as needed up to 10%
What Will Put You Ahead
  • 5+ years Owner-User Tank & Offsite Equipment Inspection experience in a refinery or chemical facility.
  • API 510 Certification
  • AWS Certifications
  • NACE Certifications
  • TWIC Card
  • CWI Certifications
  • Knowledge of industry standards and recommended practices (API, ASME, AWS, NBIC)
  • APM Experience
  • Risk Based Inspection (RBI) Software Experience
  • Experience with Federal and State Regulation Requirements.

For this role, we anticipate paying $120,000 - $160,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
