V2X is seeking a Systems Architect to join our Engineering team in Orlando, FL. The Systems Architect will shape our system-level architecture for our advanced software systems. The Systems Architect will collaborate with product owners, UX designers, front-end and back-end teams to ensure user interface flows, integration points, and nonfunctional requirements align with our business goals.

The Systems Architect provides program support throughout the development life cycle, from concept development, requirements definition, functional analysis, design review support, system implementation, integration, verification, and validation. The Systems Architect will work within a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT), where effective communication and team-building skills are critical to success.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements and new technologies. They will have the ability to decompose complexity and drive holistic solutions. We are looking for engineers that enjoy a challenge and have a passion to support our DoD customers and international allies.

Required skills:



  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems engineering, solution architecture, or equivalent role focused on web applications
  • Understanding of the System Engineering Lifecycle and processes
  • Proven ability to capture and translate business needs into clear, testable technical requirements
  • Strong proficiency with Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience providing leadership, technical direction, and guidance to multi-disciplined teams
  • Strong accountability with the ability to work autonomously to deliver high quality work products on-schedule
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to support customer meetings, and integration and installation events



Desired skills:



  • Certifications in TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent
  • Proficiency with Cameo MagicDraw
  • Familiar with Cameo MagicGrid framework
  • Proficiency in DOORS Next Generation (DNG)
  • Experience with RESTful API design, GraphQL, and event-driven architecture.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, security fraeworks and observability tools
  • Current Active DoD Secret or higher Clearance



Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline
