Accounts Receivable Representative

Staffmark is hiring an Accounts Receivable Representative in Concord, NC! If you're detail-oriented, self-motivated, and have a background in AR, this is a great opportunity to join a supportive team and grow your accounting career.

Pay: $18.00/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

What You'll Do: You'll work within the accounting department, focusing on managing and resolving past-due balances with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain customer accounts, including setting credit limits and managing AR per company policy
• Apply payments (credit cards, wires, ACHs, and checks) accurately
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies
• Process credit card transactions and adjustments
• Review accounts for collection activity and make credit decisions
• Place outbound collection calls and follow up with customers
• Communicate with internal and external parties to resolve issues
• Support billing functions, including invoice matching, posting, and sending statements
• Cross-train on other accounting tasks and assist with projects as needed

What You Bring:

• Preferred: Associate degree or 4 years equivalent work experience
• Required: Accounts Receivable experience
• Strong understanding of accounting terms and procedures
• Excellent computer skills and attention to detail
• Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Professional demeanor and a team-focused attitude
